Welcome back...

Hi everybody

For those new students starting out on the acupuncture trail this year please see the following:
http://www.acupunctureproducts.com/new2007/AcupuncturePointsFree.pdf

It's a free point location guide - it's fairly basic but enough to get you started until you decide to invest in a a larger, more expensive guide...

Also:
http://www.acupunctureproducts.com/downloads/cardinalFree.pdf
A nice list of cardinal points and their applications...

Good luck to all those across all the colleges who are completing their final year exams this month, the culmination of several years of hard work.

No doubt luck is not required... ;)

Western Medical Diseases and Conditions

Deirdre Murphy of 3rd Year has put together this little beauty along with some help from Ciaran Corr.

The document lists all of the conditions discussed during the Western Medical lectures in an easy to digest format. It's really good stuff if you're revising for 2nd or 3rd Year exams.

Sincere thanks to Deirdre and Ciaran for the obvious effort involved.

Tui-Na Practice Open Days

For those of you Tui-Na-inclined there is an open-weekend on Saturday 4th and Sunday 5th April in Cork... the details are:

Dates: 4th & 5th April
Times: 09:30 to 17:00 (both days)
Location: IITCM, Old Parochial House, Donoughmore, Cork

Purpose: The weekend is intended as a clinical weekend with a focus on tui-na. There will be up to 28 students there looking to practice tui-na on whomever presents, whether they be another student or a patient. Where there are 2 students treating each other they'll be swapping treatments and feedback. It should be a pretty open type of day.
