Hi all... as you may or may not be aware there is a 'Further Reading' section on this site - it is an Amazon store which allows you to order Acupuncture and TCM related books through this website. When you order through this I get a small (very small) percentage of the book's cost price. That said, in the 2 years it's been running I haven't actually earned enough for them to issue me a cheque (i.e. less than €50). However one can only dream of the day that a cheque arrives just in time to pay the hosting costs of the site :)
Here is a free PDF document giving a fairly detailed synopsis of Scalp Acupuncture.

Check out http://journalams.com/04_Issue.html for free access to the Journal of Acupuncture and Meridian Studies.
There are dozens of free articles to download.
An interesting journal article for those interested in treating Plantar Fasciitis. If you've ever had this condition (and I have) you'll know that ANYTHING that reduces the pain would be most welcome.

Hi Everybody
Over a year ago I put out a call for help in running this website and despite a couple of tepid responses unfrotunately nothing panned out... so once again I'm asking for time from anyone who can add interesting articles etc. to contact me please...
As I said last year:
"...if anyone thinks that they may have time to devote to keeping the site up to date with medical journals, articles of relevance etc then please don't hesitate to contact me and we can sort something out. This website is about the acupuncture 'community' and if it becomes a community site with community input it has a real chance at becoming something special within the Irish TCM sphere."
Hi All
For those of us interested in Acupuncture it is vital to keep up to date using websites, journals etc.
There are many places out there on the web that you can get good information (and you probably do). If you have any sites you'd like to bring to everyone's attention please send them on and we'll get a list going.
My first input is: http://aim.bmj.com/archive/
Sign up here for free access to the Acupuncture in Medicine Journal archives from 2005 all the way back to 1982

Interesting article available free from the Journal of Chinese Medicine available at:
Hi everybody
For those new students starting out on the acupuncture trail this year please see the following:
http://www.acupunctureproducts.com/new2007/AcupuncturePointsFree.pdf
It's a free point location guide - it's fairly basic but enough to get you started until you decide to invest in a a larger, more expensive guide...
Also:
http://www.acupunctureproducts.com/downloads/cardinalFree.pdf
A nice list of cardinal points and their applications...
